TREX migration from 6.0 sp1 to 6.1 - index directory doesn't have any conte

TREX migration from 6.0 to 6.1

Dear,

When we are doing TREX migration from 6.0 to 6.1, please find the below

details while doing index migration.

1. Installed 6.1 in the same host.

2. Index migration by executing scripts. Following errors displayed.

Script executed:from new installed trex 6.1 directory which is

/usr/sap/trex_74/python_support\migrate_60_singleServer.py --check=1

--oldPath=C:\PROGRA~1\SAP\TREX_6

INDEX & QUEUE directories are created but doesn't have any content.

what could be the reason.

Can somebody help me on this issue, i am stuck in the migration.

This issue is fixed from my side, after TREX 6.1 installation, there should be TREXRfcServer.exe should be running, check in windows task manager, if not started please edit the TREXdaemon.ini file and add the rfcserver entry in programs.

Stop the trex service and start the service.

i have successfully migrated trex from 6.0 to 6.1 and all the index migrated with return code

0.

Now i am facing some issue relates to RFC setting. I could not connect to the server. Please find the below error message.

Hi Sridhar,

do you see anything in the TREXIndex/QueueServer logs on the TREX 6.1 instance related to the migration process? Some other logs created ? Any exceptions generated when the script ran?
