You can change Inspection control in mass using QA08.
BUT... if you have different settings with an inspection type, you need to run them through QA08 in groups.
I.e. if you have some materials with the post to inspection stock on and some off, that what mean you have to do each group separately.
If you have different Average inspection duration (AID's) for different materials, each different AID has to be run in as a different group. So if you AID's of 1,3,5, 10, and 30, that would be 5 runs of QA08. If for each AID you also a mixture of "post to QI" than you'd have to run QA08 10 times, once for each combination. If any of the other fields in the setup are different, you might have to split them up into even more groups.
Sometimes, if you only have one field to update, you might be better using the individual processing tab of QA08 instead of the mass processing tab. If you have < 400-500 materials to change the inspection lot control on, you can probably step through them in QA08 individual processng faster than the time it takes to figure out the various groups you need to run in via the mass processing tab of QA08.
If you are asking about Control Insp Lot setting- Yes it is possible.
1. If your existing setting is based on Inspection Type then do config change at Quality Management -->Quality Inspection ->Insp Lot Creation->Define default Values for Insp Type
2. If it is based on Material (Different control setting with in Insp Type) then create New Inspection Type for each control setting by copying the existing Inspection Type and keep the required control setting. Assign the new Inspection Type to the Material with QA08.
