Getting error while logging into NWDI-VFS client must not be <null>

Hi All,

I have imported tracks into my NWDS but when i try to restart/re-open my NWDS and tried to login to NWDI i am getting below errors:

An internal error occurred during: "Logon to".

java.lang.NullPointerException


Error Log:


com.sap.tc.devconf.login.LoginException: com.sap.tc.devconf.DevConfigException: VFS client must not be <null> (VFS client must not be <null>)

Caused by: com.sap.tc.devconf.DevConfigException: VFS client must not be <null>


For the first time it is working fine but, I am getting the issue when i try to Re-open/Restart my NWDS and it is working fine for the older workspace i am getting the issue for the newly created workspace. I have deleted newly created workspace and recreated workspace and re-imported the track still i am getting the same issue when i reopen my NWDS.



Please provide your inputs...

for the sake of completeness let me add this here

Hi Rahul,

Remove the development configuration.

Also, delete the configurations from the filesystem. 

Then, re-import the development configurations again in your NWDS.

Try the above steps and check if these help.

Hi Anurag,

I have done the above steps I was able to reimport but issue is when i close my NWDS and reopen and try to login i am getting the issue.
