soap to proxy scenario getting error message "The character set conversion to one or more characters can not"

Hi All,

My scenario is SOAP to proxy, where request is comming form web service and it got failed in SAP PI. we have analyzed issue where

request xml field contains some special characters in <numeroDocumento>2499626—2</numeroDocumento>" due to this special

character its got failed, this character is from Portuguese language .

We tried with module configuration for sender SOAP channel but it's not worked for us .

Below is the error message we find in Monitoring.

"Error while processing the message payload. There was an error deserialization in the ST / 1SAI / SAS37D6FA5714BEE1526B90 program. The character set conversion to one or more characters can not"

Please guide us solve this issue .
