Hello all,

I have a sandbox installation, when i look at SMGW -> goto _> parameter, I can see to paraemeter are missing.

gateway hostname and

gateway service

Any idea how can I add this to parameter on this system.

Is it from profile parameter?

Thanks

Reza

Hi Reza,

Is this new installation?

First go to RZ10 and export the profile from OS level and check.

Hi Reza

Normally all the standalone system point to local gateway, it should be SAPGWxx(XX instance numer) Is this any gateway server you have ?

Could you refer the SAP link SAP Gateway Monitor - Tools for Monitoring the System - SAP Library

Hi Reza,

Try this.

You Go to Transaction Code SM51 -> Goto -> Hostname Buffer -> Reset -> Application Server

Then to SMGW Transaction.

Hi Reza,

Sorry mentioned earlier reply.

Add your hostname entry in host file.

for example: 10.126.12.32     yourhostname.domainname.com

Hi Reza,

Check your trace file.

  hostname = sapSID

  hostaddr = 10.0.26.xx

  service  = sapgw01

Above entry in hostname is wrong. Correct it? Where you given sapSID?

If everything is configured correctly then take a restart and share dev_rd logs.

Hi Reza,

You can file host file entry

127.0.0.1     localhost

10.0.26.xx     Yourhostname.domainname.com

10.0.26.xx     YourJavasystemhostname.

If possible stop sap and restart the OS then start SAP.

Add DIR_RUN parameter to profile.

Hi Reza

1. Could you update the latest log

If the system does not show "gateway hostname" and "gateway service" under Tx SMGW - Parameters it means the parameters rdisp/sna_gateway and rdisp/sna_gw_service are not set.

Set the parameters in the default profile (DEFAULT.PFL) and restart the SAP system and then check if they are displayed under Tx SMGW.

Expected values of the parameters.

rdisp/sna_gateway = hostname

rdisp/sna_gw_service = sapgw01

Note:sapgw01 is for the system with number 01. If the system number is different then you need to modify it accordingly.

Good point Reagan; However I think it is highly unlikely these parameters are actually missing. They come with the installation; now unless they have been removed manually or something, they should be available (it is only that from /nSMGW, they cannot be seen).

Hemanth.

Hi Reza,

Please goto /nSE38 and run the report rspfpar or rsparam.
In the output do you see the gateway parameters and are they right?
If so, no need for any tension; they are on the server fine .
