Yes, you can change the connection in the universe, but if you change it may impact the data (if the schema, Views tables are different) and use the authentication mode to single sing on. Please find the below link for more info.
Yes you can change the connection. However also change the table qualifier if needed. This is require to change when your database name is different. Right click on the table, there you can change the database name from A to B.
