Hi experts,

is there a metric in System Monitoring, to get an alert if Licenses in SLICENSE reaches the expiration date?

Hi Christian,

You can monitor license expiration in Tx RZ20 / SAP CCMS Monitor Templates / System Configuration / SAP License.

Or, you can put the MTE class SAP_SI_LicenseExpiration to your own monitoring
set.

@Ruth, I looked at that CCMS metric and on an ECC 6 Ehp7 system only the installation number and the installation expiration date are displayed.  The expiration date is 99991231, shouldn't the maintenance expiration date also be displayed?

For others looking to leverage MAI, you can create a custom metric value to pull from CCMS.

Negative, I rely on the Change Mgmt workcenter > License Management section of SolMan (or even the overview section) to show me the information.

Most of my time has been focused on setting up SPNego on various Java systems, including SolMan.

But in solman workcenter, you don't get notified, right?
I think about customer metric, and make an sql on license-table.

You could create an own CCMS metric, which uses the corresponding MTE
class SAPLicenseMO
