Hello,
I am using PI 7.3 and found that ESR and ID response is very slow and also I found that CPU utilization is always 99% (user 70%+ and system 20%+).
I have restarted system twice and also cleaned the cache, but still this issue persists.
Request you to give me your suggestions.
Regards,
Pratik
Hi Pratik,
We also faced similar issue in PI.
As per observation, there were huge messages were stuck in PI system seen via message monitor.
We asked PI team to stop all channels and cancell stuck messages and restated PI system.
Also ask your network team to perform OS analysis , hardware upgrade might help for such issues.
Thank You,
Rupali

Hi Pratik,
What database your are using?
Is it production environment?
If not stop sap and check the CPU utilization for database.

Hi Pratik,
The problem should be with java heap or thread utilization.
Can you take thread dumps and check usage of GC in std_server0.out file ?

Hi
1. Could you check the SAP system why CPU usage is 70%? is this any process abnormal?
2. Check the over all disk usage is it full or not?
3. Are you using the central SLD on you PI? if it yes could you check the SLD
4. Could you refer the SAP KBA about you issue
2048626 - PI Performance - severe degradation of system performance
5. Could you share your OS /DB version? and at your OS level could check which process takes CPU usage?
