Connecting legacy machines to ASA16

Are there any issues connecting ancient machines (eg. Windows NT) to ASA16 servers?

They currently have ASA8 client software (ODBC driver version 8.00.02)

Hi Alex,

Your ASA 8 ODBC client should be able to connect to a SQL Anywhere 16 database server.  Note, however, that this is a configuration that we do not test and so we cannot guarantee that you won't encounter any issues.

You could always run the SQL Anywhere 16 client, but that would require a few things on your part, such as running on a newer operating system and possibly re-compiling your client app.

I hope this helps!
