Update Diagnostics Agent

Hello togheter!

I've installed the newest SAP DC Kernal 7.41 PL 100 (Linux on x86_64 64bit).

In addition the Diagnostics Agent and the SAP Host Agent.

Now i upgraded the SAP Host Agent successfully from patch 190 to 198, thats fine (./saphostexec -upgrade).

For the Diagnostics Agent SAP hast released the patch 7.42.1.

How can i check the version of the Diagnostics Agent?

Is it the first row in the file dev_amdagent?

Do I need to uninstall the current Diagnostics Agent and install 7.42.1?

Does it affect the kernel?

Im quite new in the SAP-world.

So many ways to check.. easiest is to check from agent admin in solution manager.

http://<host>:<port>/smd/AgentAdmin

Im working on Net Weaver AS Java.

How does it look regarding to those questions?

Do I need to uninstall the current Diagnostics Agent and install 7.42.1?

Does it affect the kernel?

Well there is nothing as such you call as upgrade here.

Also, you will have to install a new version and uninstall old one, if you want to switch DA release.
