How to Delink the VC material and the Material Variant

Hi Experts,

My Requirement is to remove the VC material details from the Material Variant(MV) Material Master.

The field in the MV is grey out.I am not able to change that.Is there any correction report available.

I have tried by using the Change Number and Delink the BOM with VC material.(CS41).Even though I am not able to change that.

or I need to go with the new Material code only.

Please give your valuable inputs.

To solve this, if its newly created material variant and not used in sales order, production etc, easy solution would be delete & archive material variant and recreate it with correct configurable material but same material number.

Hi,

Once material variant is defined in MRP3 view, you cannot delete it.

Just for your information: Same is the case for 'Material is configurable' indicator in 'Basic Data 2' tab.

The only way to change these attributes is to use ECM which would create a newer version of material which can be used for further processing.

I hope you are using latest version (since you tried with ECM also).

I have tried with change number / Rev level.

But I am not able to change setting in the MRP3 View.

Can you share the documents for changing the material master (MRP3 View ) with newer revision level.
