Recently we are experiencing slowness in response of ESR/ID of our PI systems. PI version is 7.31.

When number of users are increased then ESR/ID doesnot open and we get below message.

java.co.IOException:Server returned HTTP response code :503 for url :
http://host:port/rep/repository/com.sap.xpi.ibrep.client.jar . unknown host

Waiting for your comments.

Regards,

Pratik

Hi Pratik,

Please see whether you have maintained host entries or not as Inaki has mentioned.

If that is there then, try using jre6u31 for AEX even jre 6u21 and jre6u45 are fast. ( It definitely takes more time to open for the first time as the java cache is not stored).

Time may vary according to bandwidth of network to download the big client.jar. but for the second time once cache is stored it will open soon.

********Use JRE 6 u20/31/45********.

Regards,

Vikas

Hi Pratik,

The problem seems to be the host name is not cached in the DNS. Have you tried to set the IP - Host relationship in hosts files in C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc (if your laptop or personal computer is under windows)?

Regards.
