If you and/or business are happy with the present SP level of the J2EE stack then you can avoid the patching. So it depends on the requirement whether you want to patch the system or not.

Hi Reza,

Patching the system is only required if your current business scenario is not meeting with the required functionality.

Hi Reza,

I would like to mention the SAP official recommendation first. SAP recommends customer to apply the latest patch on the servers as soon as they are released to SMP. This is so that we can be sure that bug fixes are part of the server and will help in overall optimization and robustness of the engine.
I do understand that this might not be possible at all times.
It will be sufficient that you deploy the patch on the server which actually has the issue. However, at times customers want all the servers to be on the same patch level, so I can comment only on the SAP upgrade strategy that is in place. The Basis admin has to take a decision on this who is aware of the overall SAP landscape.
When you create a MOPZ stack, there is an option to add in the latest JAVA patches; maybe you can try that.

Hi Reza,

If you current system component/application/function is affected with any bug, in that case you should consider patching.

I believe you don't have that same-way old exchange profiles in PO.

All parameters that you change are from NWA itself.

However, you should go for latest patch, if possible.
