Is it possible to have the HANA DR with Prod and QA with different node sizes. Our Prod is a HP 1TB node and in QA we have two HP 512GB nodes. If its not possible could you please suggest any work around?

Thanks

Srini

Hi Srini,

Yes, it is possible in DR setup. For Prod on  one Host and

on the other host you can have

QAS/Prod replication .

the only setup that you need to do is

global_allocation_limit value.

Hi Pavan,

How do set this up. We have 3+1 ( for failover) 1TB nodes in Production and 6  512GB nodes in QA. How do we do the node mapping for DR?  how does the parameter global_allocation_limit value help with it.

Thanks

Hi Srini,

How do set this up -> I cant answer this question. As you are the HANA Admin you should decide this. I can only answer this question if know the complete landscape and usage.

We have 3+1 ( for failover) 1TB nodes in Production and 6  512GB nodes in QA. -> i dint understand this.

How do we do the node mapping for DR?

You should go through the document "how to perform sys replic for HANA from Ralf" . I am not able to attach here.

Hi Srini,

Can you please provide more details on the complete list of nodes in PROD and Non prod inlcuding the list of HANA Instances you wish to setup

based on your last comment looks like you have the following Is this correct?

3+1(failover)- 1 TB Nodes in PROD

6- 512 GB nodes in Non Prod

How do you plan to use the 6 nodes in Non prod?

How many Non prod HANA Instances you wish to have?

What is the Disaster Recovery you are looking to setup HANA system replication?
