Lumira 1.20 Hortonworks Hive Support

Hi.

I'm trying connect SAP Lumira 1.20 with Hortonworks 0.13 (HDP 2.1) and at least for the moment is impossible, or Lumira gives me one error or keep connecting for ever.

In the PAM appears only the hive 0.10 version, but is strange that doesn't works fine. Anyone have tried to connect Lumira with HDP 2.1?

Hi Jamie

Hortonworks was never part of the Lumira PAM (Supported platforms). Only Apache Hadoop Hive JAR files were supported - version 0.10.0. It's great that this worked for you using Hortonworks.

Unfortunately, the currently (Lumira 1.20) supported Apache Hadoop Hive JAR files are still version 0.10.0:

Hi Jaime,

your problem comes indeed from a difference in versions supported. With Lumira 1.21, this should disappear as we'll be supporting Hive 13 out of the box with our new Big Data drivers coming from Simba.

A couple more weeks of wait and you'll be able to connect without issues.

I hope that with the Lumira new version hive 0.13 will be supported.

I'll be waiting to view the PAM of Lumira 1.21.
