Creating Sub-CAs in SSO Server with additional key usages

Former Member

Hello!

We currently using the SSO Server SP3 version.

Our Network department wants us to issue certificates that have additional key useges (also exteneded) that are not currently offered in the standard CA types (SSL CA / USER CA).

Is there the possibility to create new CA Types with defined key usages?

Thanks for any support that I can get.

Best regards,

Kent Kleinsteuber

Hello Tapan,

Yes, I can elaborate.

In the SSO Server Certificate Store, there are 4 standard CA types

  • Root CA
  • User CA - Sub CA
  • SSL CA - Sub CA
  • SAP CA - Sub CA

They have their own key Usage properties (critical and non critical).

     Extensions                     : 4

     Certificate Extension          :

        [critical]

           Key Usage: keyCertSign

           BasicConstraints: CA : yes

        [non critical]

My question is whether it is possible to create new CA Types in the SSO Service with other key usage properties?

Thanks for any help!

Best regards,

Kent

Hello Kent

No. I don't think SSO service provides any such functionality.
