Hi,

In various extractors I have seen to use sender name.Can you inform me what significance sender name has between TM-EM integration

Also, you can check sender name validation which are happening on below Internal event codes in SAP EM.

ODT10_HS_LOADED

ODT10_HS_DEPARTURE

ODT10_HS_ARRIV_DEST

ODT10_HS_UNLOADED

ODT20_LOAD_ARR

ODT20_LOAD_DEP

Hi,

in the standard TM-EM integration scenarios the sender name (=TM) is set in the event messages which are sent from TM to EM (as you mentioned -> in the Event Data Extractors). When these event messages are processed in EM, the sender name is used to identify exactly the event messages that are coming from TM to avoid the propagation back to TM. You can check how this is done in all the multitask activities in EM like ODT30_TO_DEPART. Here the task CHECK_SENDER is doing exactly the check on the sender name - and only if this is NOT 'TM', the event message is propagated to TM.
