hi ,

I was trying to check sapccmsr agents for database servers for our dual stack system.

Found that we are getting below error while checking status.

INFO: No standalone agent running in background: No up-to-date pid file.

INTERNAL ERROR: Checking CCMS monitoring segment failed, could not open monitoring segment 20.

-------------

Hi Uday,

Can you expalin what is the monitoring infra in your landscape ?

CCMS can be used with standalone or integrated.

For monitoring non-sap system or non-abap and non-java, use saphostagent. For eg, a physical host on which on database is running.

Agent service started in your Db instance? refer the SAP Note 1767151 - CCMS: sapccm4x agent fails after ABAP instance (re-)start

Thanks for reply.

Sapccm4x is running on both CI and AI of the ABAP+JAVA system.

CCMSR which should run on DB is giving problem.

DB is on CI host.

Both should be runnin?

I am confused.

The CI is running on the same host on which DB is running.

Does it need both sapccm4x and sapccmsr?

Hello Uday,

what do you mean with "CI"? An ABAP instance with the enqueue service or an ASCS instance? If an ABAP instance is running on the DB server, then you do not need a sapccmsr agent. If with CI do you mean the ASCS instance, then a sapccmsr is required. You should be aware, that in SAPHOSTAGENT an integrated sapccmsr is running and if you want to use a standalone sapccmsr you should deactivate this integrated one first.
