Process chain failures

What are all the reasons for process chain failures in APO DP.

Hello Naga,

Process chain can fail due to many reasons. I will try to list down some scenarios.

1) Data loading step: While loading data to cue it might fail because of errors in transformation routines.

2) DP Background Processing: It might fail when the CVC is locked by another parallel process chain.

3) Generate Characteristic Combination: This step might fail when the check radio buttons are on in selection, the system checks the values of the characteristic value combinations to be created, if the value specified is not present in the characteristics it will fail.

4) ABAP Program : If there is any error raised by the program then the step will fail.

5) Load Data from InfoCube: While loading data from info cube to planning area and there is no CVC existing for the data then it will lead to information message not error message, the step won't fail.
