ECC 6 on MaxDB installation error

Dear Colleagues,

I'm trying to deploy EHP7 for SAP ERP 6.0 ABAP Support Release 1 on window 7 system. But every time when it goes to step "Create database instance" and try to "Activating database instance", it will stop here.

Could you please give me some hints here.

Windows 7 IS NOT a supported platform for SAP ERP.

Please use Windows Server 2008/2012 or any other supported platform as described in PAM (Product Availability Matrix).

Yeah, that's possible the reason. But in my office, there are some one did install ECC on win7.

Dear Colleagues,

Currently, the step "Create database instance" has sucessfully passed.

But now, it stopped on step "Import ABAP". I did wait a long time.

Plus there is already one job failed.

So the whole installation will failed too, right?

Any hint on that?

Hi Eric,

From the screenshot only 1 job has failed so far. It does not mean entire installation has failed.

Please attach log file pertaining to this failed job from the installation directory.

Have you Installed the Java components and maintained the Java Variable path for the DB directory

If not please maintain the path and start the installation freshly.
