QM notification header status

Hi,

I am trying to see what the functionality of the notification header status is. The one where you put it in process, complete etc. If I compare it to a production order status then the release of a production order is tied to shop paper printing, batch determination etc. Is there any such functionality tied to notification statuses or is it just used to track the lifecycle of a notification and reporting ?

Thanks

Hello

OSNO/NOPR/NOCO/TSOS/TSRL/TSCO....all this are standard system statuses. you can check in QM customization if need more details about there execution steps by step accroding to user actions.

another is user based statuses. User can define their own status according to requirement and approval process.

You cant disable the system status, but you can define your own statuses in parallel to system statuses.

Better to go with SAP documentation on Status Management for and OBJECT.

Hi GS,

Notification has two type of statuses. System status & user status.

System status is set by system as the notification passes through different stages as mentioned above by Jogeshwara.

Here user specific settings is provided by SAP to play around and meet user specific settings.

In these user settings you can define different user status steps and in detail screen of each ststus, you may define at which condition this user status need to set, and which transactions need to be allowed & which transactions need to be restricted.

At this part you may configure your requirement, but again it is restricted to a set of SAP defined business transactions.

So you need to explore the user status and you may find the suitable functionality.

A notification can not be in NOPR status when an Order is created through it or an Order is assigned. Even when you try to create an Order from a Notification which is in OSNO status, the Notification turns to NOPR ORAS status the moment Order is saved.
