Error during Abap Import Phase

Hi Basis Expert,

Currently i am installation SAP Netweaver 7.4 - ERP6.0 EHP7.0 system. The OS is AIX 6.1 & DB is DB2 LUW 10.5.

I am using SWPM for the installation.

During the execution step i.e during the Abap Import phase it is giving the error. The error is as follows.

As per log it seems, the problem with Software mismatch..

please try to re-downloading the db2 rdbms and db2 client file from sap and uninstall old file then re-installed from the beginning.. aslo find,

The right dvd for Kernel and SL_CONTROLLER.

Hello anil,

Please check whether your log segment is full or not in the log file. If log segment is full we cannot go further in the import.

Thanks All for your help. We went for the reinstallation with DB2 LUW 10.5FP & the relevent RDBMS DB2 Client to fix this issue.

Now we were able to proceed with the installation. We are now in the phase of "Install Instance basics of ASCS<ASCS Sys No> ". But we are now stuck up here and facing an issue. The issue is.

1. Could you share the full log. If possible do the full restart and then try again

2. I think your kernel level is low, you may require to upgrade the latest version

3. At your OS level DNS or local host enters are correct (FQDN)?

The issue is fixed.

Solution - The issue was /proc filesystem was not mounted in our AIX OS. After mounting the /proc filesystem the ASCS was connected and our installation of SAP ERP6.0 EHP7.0 completed successfully.

Now my further steps would be activating the SAP PLM 7.03 business functions. Has anyone worked on this earlier how we activate the PLM 7.03 business functions. If yes could you please share with me your experience and knowledge.

I have gone through the Master Guide of SAP PLM 7.03 using SAP ERP6.0 EHP7.0.

Regarding R3trans-d, I think you are trying to run this command where sidadm don't have permission to write so try to go to home directory and run command again so that you can get trans.log file with traces if you want.
