enque table size is appropriatly set in system.

enque/table_size : 500000

When we checked in SM12 >> statistics, maximum number of lock entries

value are as follows.

Maximum Number of Lock Entries 56415

Maximum Fill level         56415

Not sure why Max Number of Lock entries are showing so low even though

enough value is set in enque/table_size.

Environment Description.

SAP Version : ECC 6.0 EHP6

Installed on HA environment.

Kernel : 721 patch 201

Hi Koushal,

As you mentioned that you are using HA solution, I think you will be having separate ASCS profile.

check if you have mentioned enque/table_size parameter only in ASCS profile and its value is 500000.

As per my understanding, some other value is mentioned in default profile which is picked up and showing you different result then expected.

For changing this value in ASCS profile, you don't need to restart whole system, just freeze cluster and restart ASCS services which should come up with in a minute.

Abhi

Hi Koushal,

It looks to be  more of a SAP kernel issue. You existing kernel patch is 201.

Could you please update the same to 334 and check the results.

Hi,

Other system which are on same kernel patch level are working fine.

there Max Number of Lock entries are showing correctly.

and this production system so we cant patch kernel to latest one.

Hi Sriram,

Thanks for you reply.

I have already gone through given notes.

In all notes they are mentioning to increase the value enque/table_size, which is already high in our case.

Issue is that even after this much high value "Max Number of Lock entries" is very less i.e. 56415

Hi

Is this any major data upload is going on the system? or you can do full restart and then check the system, usage of lock table.

In which OS are you having cluster?

Hi

Its already in Cluster environment so you can move the cluster resource to node 2, do the restart node 1 and same way in other node 1 I thing you may require to perform off peak time. and then check the lock overflow

Hello Koushal,

in which profile enque/table_size is set? It should be set in the profile, which is read by the enqueue service.
