Hi experts i was trying to learn and know the difference between Aggregation and Projection in SAP HANA studio while creating Calculation view.
Am new to this subject and would like to know when we use those palettes. If any good related links please do post the reply.

Hi Vijay,
On a higher level, both Projection and Aggregation do the same thing i.e. Reduce the amount of data transferred to the next level.
You should use Projection when number of records generated by an analytic view can be reduced by grouping and applying a filter.
You should use Aggregation when you are dealing with Raw tables and calculated measures in the calculation view. Aggregation will perform any of theses actions MIN | MAX | COUNT | SUM | AVG ([DISTINCT] .

Chandan
