Hi Manohar,

As Mandar suggested, please make sure you can connect to the sevrer (SSH) as root with your key-pair. Once you follow the steps in the "Configuring HANA One", you will be able to set <sid>adm password, start HANA, check HANA and then open necessary ports (in EC2 management console). Once you start HANA for the first time, you need to reset system password as described in the same document. If you can reset system password, it means HANA is running.

If HANA is running and ports (30015, 50013-50014) are open, you are ready to connect HANA Studio to your server. Please let us know whether HANA is running and ports are open but studio is not connecting.

If the question is now to connect HANA Studio to a running HANA server, please follow the help as:

SAP HANA Studio -> Help -> Cheat Sheets -> Adding New Systems and Folders

If you still have any further questions, please let us know.

Thanks and best regards,

Swapan

Hi Manohar,

Today AWS had some outages. I am assuming that it did not affect you.

I am assuming that you have gone over the quick start guide first time you launched the instance and changed the passwd etc. If so-

Please check-

1. Using your key, can you SSH to the box. Be root as user.

2. If you can, then on the command prompt, sudo - hdbadm and run HDB info

3. Check if all HANA processes are running or not

4. If all this is good then check if the security group still has the JDBC port open (30015) and 50013-14 is also open

Hope this helps...
