In the FAQs, Total costs and control section, I find the following:
SAP HANA One license costs: 720 hours x .99 = 712.80
On demand: Compute/Storage/Data transfer: 2161.53
Total with Software Fees = 2874.33/720 hours = $3.99/hr
Does 2161.53 charge for data compute/storage/data transfer include the entire 60 GB consumption? Is it a standard charge for 60GB RAM machine or I would be charged as I consume? What is the per GB cost?
Hi Ranjitha,
Please check "Internet Data Transfer" section at Amazon EC2 Pricing for data transfer cost. As you read in the FAQ, without reserved instance, total cost is around $3.99 per hour which includes HANA license cost, Compute (CPU & Memory) and storage cost. If you look into the link, data transfer is quite small here. Moreover, we recommend not to load more than 30-32GB compressed data into 60.5 GB instance.
While you try out, you may monitor the cost at the end of the first session/day to have better understanding the overall cost model for your use case.
Thanks,
Swapan
