hdbxsengine keeps crashing

Hi everybody,

I just did a fresh 8 node SPS70 install with HDB rev. 72 and everything is fine except that on the master hdbstudio shows hdbxsengine is being initialized, started and crashed. This loops. If I start the engine manually, everything is fine.

The trace file says under CRASH_EXTINFO it got signal 11 (SIGSEGV) and code 1 (SEGV_MAPERR: address not mapped to object) and addr 0x00000000...

The CRASH_STACK shows module /usr/sap/sid/HDB00/exe/libhdbjsjm.so

Has anyone seen this before? Or maybe an idea what happens? Thanks in advance.

We also have similar problem.

Could you please let us know, how was your issue resolved?

Have you done kernel upgrade? or is it a Database bug?

Hi Sreenu,

In my case the error was that sapinit was started at boot time by the OS and not by the cluster software. It simply started to early.

It would be helpful, could you please let us know in detail, what exactly, do you mean by "not by the cluster software"?

What steps have you taken exactly in resolving this issue permanently?
