Custom fields to a Bid Invitation

Hello Experts,

I would like to know is there a possibility to add more custom fields to a Bid invitation and Live auction invitation. Here we have a business scenario to add more details about the product and automotive information to an invitation, so that, later the business users will be able to run a report in BW to short list the invitation created for a particular platform or a customer and so on.

Also if it is possible, is there a limitation on the number of fields can be added.
