DMS: File uploaded from local PC is not accessible from another PC

Hi Experts,

I have uploaded a file from the local desktop via CV01N.

The same file has been attached to a PO from ME22N.

Now, when the PO is opened from another location, the file is inaccessible.

I have defined a data carrier DMS and selected that at the time of attaching the document.

Still it is not accessible.

Please help!

Thanks,

Ayan

HI Ayan

After going through the screen shot i observed that the document is not stored in the storage category as the storage category is blank.

so create a Storage category and when you are attaching files from desktop to dms DIR select that storage category and save

Hi Ayan,

As per your attachment, the Original was not stored in Content server. The unlock symbol says that its not yet stored in Content server.

Please check it out.

Thanks,

Can you please tell me what should be the Document Area and the Storage type, if I want to use a particular directory in my OS.

Hi,

If you are storing the documents under content server, choose storage area as "HTTP content server" and you want process the document in DMS then choose document area as "Document management system"

Hi Shailendra,

Can you please help me with the path and carrier configuration?

I'm totally new to this, however, I checked DC20 for these configs.

Also, I have maintained a Content Repository in OAC0.

Thanks,
Ayan
