Excel crash with SAP Live Office

Hi experts,

We encounter a very stange behaviour with Live Office.

We got a BI4.1 SP2 server and we try to install on a client computer SAP Live Office 4.1 SP2. Excel version is 2007 SP3.

The installation is going fine and, at the end, when we try to launch enable_addin.exe, we got a Windows error saying the application just crashed.

When we try to launch enable_addin.exe with an administrator account, we achieve to enable Live Office in Excel but if we open Excel, the Live Office tab just doesn't appears.

Have u already seen something like that?

Thank u!

Hi all,

I got some news : when I start Excel as Administrator, Live Office works!!

So my question is simple : why LO doesn't work if I am not administrator and is there a workaround??

Kind regards,

You can try using Process Monitor to capture the workflow as administrator and then as normal user and see what are the differences.
Most likely some permissions are at play or how user profiles are setup.

Hi,

If you search for "crystal_addin_framework.dll"  at SAP Note & Knowledge Base Article Search | SAP Support Portal

you might find these notes/articles useful:

Do you have LO 3.x version installed on the same machine?

And what is the client OS version?
