Hello All,
Can someone kindly throw some light as to how Planning needs to be
done when CProject is account assigned to Costing
Objects like Internal Order or WBS elements. As to my understanding
its done through Easy Cost Planning in these costing objects. But my understanding is Easy
Cost Planning does not support Cost Distribution over Period Breakdown. So how is planned cost
Distributed and passed to PPM Financial Capacity (which needs cost distributed over periods)?
Thanks,
Sachin
Hi Sachin,
I think, different topics are mixed up.
1. ECP (Easy costing planning) in ERP do write the costs period-related. But for 1 ECP item only 1 period is used.
2. the PPM project can simulate the distribution for the role-based scenario, there is a flag of role type customer, names costs distribution ( or likely). During the transfer, 1 role data is splited into multiple records during transferred to ERP. As result, 1 role in PPM project is mapped into multiple ECP items. 1 ECP item -> 1 period. Multiple ECP items -> multiple periods. For task-based scenario this functionality is not available.
3. If you retieve the ERP costs data -> PPM portfolio FIN planning, It just retrieve the costs data, no matter it comes from (PPM replication, ECP direct, or other planning tools).
Kind regards,
Zhenbo
