Issue with planned orders using equal distribution key - GLEI

Hi All,

I have issue with planned orders using distribution key -
GLEI

Present scenario:

Distribution key GLEI is being used in production versions.
Planned orders are created in APO & transferred to ECC. Such order shows
single date as start & end date in ECC & APO. In ECC these orders are
scheduled, capacitated & firmed. After scheduling, capacitation of these
orders, because of distribution key, orders are spread equally over order start
& end period in MD04. But these orders appear in order end bucket in APO
planning book. Planned orders are converted to production orders in ECC &
then these production orders appear in different buckets in APO planning book
similar to MD04.

Business expectation: Scheduled, capacitated &
firmed planned orders should be distributed in APO planning book similar to
MD04.

I got SAP note: 456278

Please Note: - Manually created orders in ECC are
distributed in APO for all order types i.e. scheduled, capacitated, firmed
similar to MD04. This works as per business expectation.

We are using SAP SCM 7.0/EHP3 SAP SCM 7.0 (being upgraded
to) & EHP4 SAP ECC 6.0

Your inputs please in case you came across similar issue.

Thanks,

Dinkar..

Thanks Mariano, Marius for your reply. We are not using PPDS. I am checking note 161028 & will come back.

Thanks for your help.

Hi Dinkar,

The products planned by APO should not be re-planned again by ECC system. For this reason the MRP type of the products is X0 - External planning.

According to note 161028 the current design is:

"When a planned order is imported into R/3 via the interface, it is never scheduled in R/3 (detailed scheduling: esp. generation of capacity requirements).

This is the current design of APO <-> R/3 interface".

You have to implement this note if you want to change the system behavior!

Hope that can help you!

Thanks.

Regards, Marius
