Connect SMP to SAP router

Dear Experts,

I'm connecting to SAP ERP via SAP router. How can i connect my SMP 3.0 to my ERP via sap router as backend connection.

I've found the answer is /H/<sap_router>/H/<local_IP>.

Hi Jitendra,

It's just a router string which we need to mention as all the request comes to router and depending on the router string it connects to that particular system(Target System) rather then directly connecting to the system.without router.

Hi Ibrahim,

Your SMP server and SAP server sits inside the internal firewall, in that case why you think you need an SAPRouter in between ?

My SMP server and SAP ERP server aren't inside same firewall, actually each one of them has it's own firewall.

You can create a new destination in SMP3 gateway cockpit connecting to SAP system as per step #7 in this blog

but the problem is how can i define the local IP and port for ERP server from SAP router IP in Destination URL.

Hi Ibrahem,

Could you please provide the architecture of the landscape. Generally all the servers sits inside the internal firewall, to communicate within them there is no need of SAPRouter.
