IDT Unable to Insert Relational Connection

Hi all,

I am using IDT to create a universe and followed the steps in the following link. http://scn.sap.com/thread/3167968

The reason we want to create the universe is to be able to connect to it with BOBJ Explorer.

At step 5, it says to "Insert Relational Connection" and when I try to do this, the option is greyed out (see below screen shot). I am logged into the correct repository. Is it possible I don't have the correct security rights to perform this task? If so, what rights do I need? Any input would be greatly appreciated!

I had this and needed to click the 'Connections' folder or a subfolder for the connection and it went from them being greyed out to becoming active.

Hi John,

I think admin people has restricted to your user to create the connections in IDT. Please check with your BO admin people. Or you are not logged into Repository resources insert session with correct Authentication type.
