Hi Experts,
Can anyone please tell me , if Blank CVC ( CVC with no data in any of the key figu res, like newly created CVC ) occupies any space in Live Cache ?
Thnaks and Regards,
Venkata Emani
Hi Raghavendra,
A blank CVC does not occupy space in Live Cache. As a demand planner, we access data in the live cache via the Planning Book. When we give the selection in the shuffler, it checks the linked MPOS and with reference to the Planning Area, extracts the data from Live Cache ( if any).
So if you have a CVC in MPOS, it will not hold any space in live cache, but if you have linked it to the planning area and your key figures say '0" quantity instead of BLANK, then it holds some space in Live Cache, like about 8KB.

JB

Hi Raghavendra,
If you create "Time Series Object" for CVC, then it link with live cache and occupy the space.
When you create CVC, there is one check point to create Time Series Object for given CVC.
If you unchecked the flag in that case, CVC will not occupy the space in live cache.

Sachin
