Hi experts,
we're facing following problem in our business :
Available stock (eg 1000 PC) should be delivered to a customer. Due to weight of the product 2 deliveries get created each with an expected and confirmed 500 PC and linked to two separate shipments. Those 2 shipments are send to an external warehouse management system for picking/packing/loading.
As it is unknown how the material is stacked, it is possible that on the first shipment only 480 PC get loaded, and remaining 520 get loaded on the second shipment which is not a problem to ATP.
On the other hand, if the warehouse people load 510 PC on the first shipment the goods issue of the linked delivery is not possible due to ATP error VL 150 'Only 500 pc available'.
Business wants to keep the ATP check at delivery creation but deactivate it at post goods issue. In the above case this will lead to a negative ATP after issuing the first delivery with 510 PC but zero it out when second is issued with 490 PC.
Any suggestions ?
Thanks,
Thierry
It sounds like the business needs to lower the qty in the second delivery if they overship against the first. If you remove the ATP check for goods issue, imagine if the business processes two shipments at 510 ea. You want to allow negative stock balance at IM level?

Hi Jacob,
that is true but :
1) The warehouse is running 24/7 on a non-SAP WMS. All activity captured there is send to SAP by interfacing. In the above case, the interface will go in error and only be captured by IS who are monitoring the interface trafic.
2) Business can change the quantity in the second delivery during office hours. A lot of the shipments do leave the warehouse outside these hours so this causes delays. Especially when it's a export shipment where also invoice detaills and documents for customs are needed. The latter get generated out of SAP but only once the goods issue is captured.
So what I'm trying to achieve is to deactivate the ATP at moment of GI. By doing so the interface will work, delivery will be issued with the actual loaded quantities and all other paperwork will be generated.
The fact that ATP wll become negative in the system is not a big deal. By issuing the second delivery with remaining quantity this will become 0. If second delivery is not yet issued, thenn business will notice this negative ATP and can adjust the second delivery during office hours.
Hope this helps clarifying our problem.
