Hi, I am a Master scheduler for a MTO manufacturer, we implemented SAP 3 months ago. We have R3 4.7 and APO, however with the current APO configuration it causes us to not be able to deliver on time 90 % of the time.
Reasons are: we make 80% of our sub-assemblies and with APO allowing full lead time for all material, this pushes my planned/ production orders out to the longest leadtime. This causes us to purchase our material with shorter lead-time to the later requirement date.
Is there a different way to configure APO to execute purchase/ make material to my customer need date rather than ATP date?
Thank you in advance,
LS
Which scheduling direction are you using in APO? if you use backwards for the order creation this would meet the finished manufacturing date to the Requirements date.
