Local File in Profiling Task

In IS4.2, When i try to Add the File from Local, it not showing anything or local path, The Space contains as "Filter Connections". How to add local file (Text/CSV/Spread Sheet for Profiling Task?

Prasad,

You have to define the file (folder path) connection in CMC.

a) Logon to CMC

b) Click on the Information Steward

c) Click on Connections

d) right click on open area and select New -> Connection

e) Change the connection type to 'File Connection' and enter the path of the folder on the job server where the file is located.

Once you create the file connection in CMC successfully, you can select the file in Information Steward and profile the data.

After Completing these task mentioned by Brad.

First go to File Formats tab

Create New File & Upload

Upload File & Save the File

Then in Workspace area add files

Then add to project.

Thanks for the steps, its exactly working out.

I created Connection to local path, it shows the files available in the path.

But, I cant get going after that, the dropdown in Format Name shows Nothing,

Please help
