Hi gurus
can anyone say how to map the sale of assets .....is it through SD route or MM route???
Regards
Rajesh
Hi Rajesh,
Example: Profits from Sale of Assets
You sell an asset with a book value of 3,000.00 to a customer for 4,000.00. The profit which results from this (1,000.00) is credited to the profit center of the asset (cost center C100 ® profit center P100).
Posting:
Receivable
4,000.00 to Asset portfolio 3,000.00 Income from sale of asset 1,000.00
(PrCtr P100)
Hope this provides some clarity.

The sales of asset is done by SD and FI-AM module.
Normally the asset is not stock-managed, so you can use a NLAG general code (ex. ASSET) that you use in SO and change the description.
You dissmiss the asset in FI, the make the SO in SD, then deliver and bill (remember to use a specific account).
Then in FI the revenue from the sale is 'turned' into in the right final account, according to the regional regulations.
pls. reward if helpful
