Nametab haldling during Unicode Conversion

Dear Gurus,

We are in the process of doing unicode conversion. I am clear about the overall process of performing the conversion.
Considering I completed the SPUMG initilization and consistency checks
I have few queries regarding unicode nametab creation using RADCUCNT and SPUMG worklist update.

Assuming downtime is scheduled for friday evening

1. When to delete the contents of tables DDNTF_CONV_UC and DDNTT_CONV_UC and run RADCUCNT? I doubt this can be run when the users are working on the system. Need your advice.

2. When to run SPUMG update worklist? Just before the downtime?

There is a transport freeze so there will not be any DDIC changes.

The reason why I am asking is the users will be working until the start of downtime and will it cause any changes nametabs / SPUMG worklist checks if complete above two activities on wednesday or thursday?

Hello Ashok

These steps are done before you export the source system. You can delete the contents of the tables DDNTF_CONV_UC and DDNTT_CONV_UC because in a running system these tables are not used.

Please read these SAP notes to know when they are executed.
