Copy Results during Sample Calculation

Hello All,

We are exploring copy results functionality in QM. While going through SAP Help I have came across a statement where it says that "Copy results during sample calculation". In reality while configuring system for copy results, I have seen options of copy results feasibility during result recording or changing inspection lot.

Can some one please explain the meaning of the above statement?

Apart from this I do have few question on 'origin results data' which we maintain in configuration & in MIC details in the inspection plan. We do have values under origin results data as following,

01	Quality certificate
02	Previous inspection lot
03	Batch values
04	Previous inspection point
05	Copied from the subsystem using QM IDI
06	From mobile data recording
07	Quality certificate transmission

Will someone please tell me how the results will be pulled from 01, 03, 05, 06, 07? I know about 02 & 04.

Also please let me know what is the exact meaning of 'selection procedure' in customizing & what is the difference/relation between selection procedure & mapping procedure?

Hi Manoj,

As the results copy is in extension PLM you have to activate this extension first.

You can do this in SPRO under :

Activate SAP ECC extensions > choose extension EA-PLM

After this you can see the results copy in IMG.

Once this is done, you should be able to find the settings using the following path:

SPRO

-> Quality Management

  -> Quality Inspection

   -> Make Settings for Copy of Inspection Results

check if extension set EA-PLM is actived on the system in IMG.

Consider the BAdI QECOPY with the definitions QEC_MAPPING and QEC_SELECTION.

QEC_SELECTION allows you to set corresponding rules.

You can find more information about copy results in sap note 596648.

I have already activated the business extension & currently testing this functionality of copy results.

I have had few queries in the same which I have mentioned in my earlier post. Kind request you to address them.
