Hi Everyone,
At the moment we are receiving alerts for adapter engine in our mail boxes like the below one:
if the alert occurs for Integraiton engine then we get message id and we are able to identify the error.
if the alert occurs for adapter engine (like the above one) then we are assuming it was a temporary connectivty issue from the sender adapter(as there was no messages in error in adapter engine). we were not able to find any error logs in sender channel as we had checked it too late and we were able to see only the successful polling logs of the file sender adapter. we would like to get the channel error logs in the alert as the error.
Also can anyone kindly let us know why the error code and error category appear meaningless in this alert. how can we correct it?
Thanks,
Nirmal.

Hi Nirmal,
Kindly go through the SAP note 1808222 - Trigger alerts if channel stops polling.
They clearly explained how to handle this type of problem using watchdog monitoring.
But this can be configure by with the help of basis team.If iam correct for the above requirement.
Best Regards,
Monikandan.

Hi Nirmal, For configuring correct alert messages you can refer to the following link http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwmobile71/helpdata/en/49/47839537042221e10000000a42189d/content.htm From the issue highlighted, seems like you container elements are not properly defined in the Long Text of the Alert Category. Please refer to the following link in order to check the appropriate Alert container elements. http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw74/helpdata/en/4b/b4b5beb25e3c1de10000000a42189b/frameset.htm Regards, Alka.

Hi Nirmal,
You are seeing incomplete Error Code because <SXMS_ERROR_CODE> supports only 70 characters.
You can use variable <SXMS_TO_ADAPTER_ERRLINES>. It contains the entire error text in the form of table lines. Check SAP Note: 1294312 - XI alerting: SXMS_TO_ADAPTER_ERRTXT is truncated

Nabendu.
