NWDI 7.4 installation on EP 7.01

Hi Experts,

Can we use NWDI 7.4 if we have EP 7.01?

Would we have any problems in deployment? I've read that early versions <=7.1 versions of NWDI does not have deploy controller and they use SDM to deploy.

If we are going to develop in NWDS 7.0 will we have problems in deploying using the deploy controller?

nwdi will be the same version of your ep server where it is installed, but it can deploy/manage code for different version of netweaver java

ah so for example, if I have EP 7.0 and PI 7.4 and both developments and transports are happening in the nwdi, would I have problems with the Java version? if for EP the java version is 1.4 the PI is  java 1.6?

you have to install jdk1.6 in the ep server, which will be used by the nwdi
