Milestone use in wbs or network

i have attached a milestone with the activity .

Please tell me how to trigger a milestone in activity ,

like

1-when the activity is released a milestone should be trigger .

2-when activity is completed another milestone should be trigger.

Please give me an overview to configure such requirement.

Hi Bheesham,

As per your screenshot you have already set the milestone usage, you need to check the milestone function to trigger the release of next activity.

Go to Functions Tab, there you will find milestone function list, here you need to determine at what stage you need to trigger the next activity.

For Example : Activity 2 to be triggered when Activity 1 gets the system status as CNF.

So i check Release following activities, system status is CNF and change is +.

for your case, you need REL status to be set.

Once you release Activity 1, Activity 2 will be released.

What settings should be done in the tab Basic Data ,Functions etc.

and let me know if any milestone usage and Selection Profile  is also created.

Hi Bheesham,

You need to create the Milestone its usage and in functions tab you have to select on which factor next activity will be released? As in if the status is REL, or TECO or CLSD..

In basic data tab you will enter the milestone details. this Tab is required to enter the actual dates, Sales Doc Indicator check etc, if you are using the Milestone billing from PS to SD..
