Client copy with master data but without transaction data

Hi All,

A customer wants to do a client copy with customizing and master data, but without transaction data?

Is this possible?

You are right, sorry I was talking about User Master Records.

The reason why SAP doesnt give the option to copy Customizing + Master Data is because you could be copying incorrect data, since usually you upload the master data according to your customizing settings and it needs to make this verification.

Anyway, here I send you a link of people who apparently made the copy of master data using ALE:

TDMS is a good solution, though it requires a separated license.

You are right.. User master record is related to Users..

Of all these conversation, I notice that there is no method to copy only master data without transactional data..

And master data in client copy definition is not User master data, but something like material master..

I allways thought user master records had to do with Users, or am I completely wrong in this?

Hi

You can select one of the following profiles while doing client copy:

SAP_UCUS - Customizing and User Master Records

SAP_UCSV - Customizing, User Master Records and User Variants

The second profile also lets you copy the variants which must have been created in the source client.

Hi,

When you go to transaction SCCL (Client copy) you can choose "SAP_UCUS" as the Selected Profile.

This profile allows you to copy:

-User Masters with Authotizations.

-Customizing Data

You can confirm it selecting in the SCCL Menu (Profile - Display) to see the options for each profile.

I dont think so if that is possible..

We have to look into TDMS tool of SAP or 3rd party tool..
