ZWFSERVICE is not available

Hi All,

I was going through basic SAPUI5 development and found out that WFSERVICE is not availabe in services list. I am not from the basis team but i know that we have been upgraded to latest one. I can also develop other SAPUi5 application with gateway but not applications for workflow. Please let me know how this service may be activated? If it's basis work then please let me know the proper document.

Hi Dhananjay,

You can activate services in the transaction /IWFND/MAINT_SERVICE.

If you can not the service, probably the IW_PGW add-on has not been installed.

Thanks for quick reply.

But in my /IWFND/MAINT_SERVICE there is no any services like ZWFSERVICE or WFSERVICE.

Hi Dhananjay,

You should select "Add Service" then give system alias (most of case LOCAL) and "Get Service".

Please make sure that you have installed IW_PGW add-on components.

FYI.

There is also TASKPROCESSING service which can handle BPM workflow.

Hi Masa,

I am not from the basis team, then how i can see that IW_PGW is installed or not??

And as i am not from the basis team, can i create WFSERVICE??

One more thing, As our SAP was upgraded to latest one, how i can develop applications by FIORI??

Hi Dhananjay,

The system status can be checked by any user who has access to sap system( not only by Basis Team)

Once a successful log in is done by the user in SAP Logon Pad,

In the Menu Bar of Logon , Go to System >Status>Click on the Component Information in SAP System Data > Check for the required components in the Software Component Column .

IW_PGW is a required component to work with WFservice/ Task Processing service.

These are standard services delivered by SAP to work with workflow applications.

The services can be added as suggested by MASA.

Also provide your system details with the deployment option . If the netweaver version is 7.4 or higher, the UI components and the Netweaver Gateway are already build in.

EHP7 for SAP ERP 6.0.

I don't know how to see deployment option.
