Oracle Recommendation parameter check - Note 1171650

Hello Experts,

Please explain and make sure the meaning of below statements.

1.     check why set but mentioned with other prerequisites/not mentioned in note

2.     ok (is not set; not to be set as explicitly mentioned in note)

3.     ok (is set correctly 😃

4.     ok (is not set; mentioned with other prerequisites/not mentioned in note)

5.     ok (ignored dynamically changed parameter)

I got above parameter check results when running sql statement from below note.

Hi Srini,

1.     check why set but mentioned with other prerequisites/not mentioned in note

   

    This parameter is set in the parameter file but not mentioned in the sap note 1171650 .Check further if this parameter is required.(Check other sap notes for database parameters).(This is mostly for the underscore parameters)

2.     ok (is not set; not to be set as explicitly mentioned in note)

   This parameter is not set and no need to set it as well. This is as per the recommendations in the note.

3.     ok (is set correctly 😃

This parameter is correctly set. No need to change.

4.     ok (is not set; mentioned with other prerequisites/not mentioned in note)

     This parameter is not set and is not required to be set. But it needs further investigation whether its required or not.

5.     ok (ignored dynamically changed parameter)

       This parameter is ok.

I assume you are on 11g. Check sapnote 1431798 - Oracle 11.2.0: Database Parameter Settings
