Inspection Lot vs Batch Management

Hi Experts,

My question is related to the following forums -

Just would like to ask whether it is possible to use Inspect Lot no. or any Lot no. to replace Batch no. of Batch Mgt during Goods Movement such as GR (e.g MT 101), GI (e.g. MT 201/261) & Stk Transfer (e.g. MT 311) etc. ? This is for the purpose of tracing stocks for FIFO.

Hello,

if external batch assignment is there you can use the inspection lot number in the batch field, but for proper inventory and process tracking it is suggestive to use the existing batch number in batch fields , it matters whether batch created by which MT.
