Hello Abdul,

Was there any recent change performed on the system? like patching BRtools or any change in the OS iser environment?

Also set BR_TRACE to 15 and try to trigger the backup and then check the log file.

Hi Adeel,

It seems to be a problem with SAPServiceSID. Can you check the authorizations for it.

And also check SAP note 1173159 - BR*Tools errors occur when accessing "database" directory

Hope it helps.

hi Nirmal,

I have assigned the groups and update you.

FYI..Oracle software and SAP DATA files exist on OCFS and both drives are shared between 2 nodes of Oracle rac, So, above note did not apply on OCFS because it is for NTFS.

Dear All,

still facing same issue... when I run

database Update statistics Or whole/Full database online/offline backup

BR0252W Function fopen() failed for 'e:\oracle\rac\102\bin\oracle.key' at location ora_key_get-1

BR0253W errno 13: Permission denied

FYI.... E drive is formatted with OCFS and it is shared drive between RAC1 and RAC2. SAP data and logs files also on OCFS drive.

Regards,

Hi,
Which is the brtools patch level you use?
Could you check the if the latest patch would solve this?
