Hello All,
We are planning to upgrade our SAP GUI to 730. After upgrading the changes into the citrix environment, do we need to upgrade the front end on every computer where SAP GUI is installed or we can use SAP GUI Server for bringing the changes on all the end users computer?
Please suggest.
Regards,
Mohit
GUI used on Citrix it is required to be updated on citrix. No need to update all machines. If non citrix users are present they need to update their GUI version on systems.

Hello Suresh,
We have users from both citrix and non citrix. And non citrix users are large in number and it is not possible for admin guy to go on each and every machine to update it. Any other way to bring the changes for these users. Is it good idea to buid SAP GUI update server for these users and bring the changes from there?
Regards,
Mohit
It depends on how the SAP systems are accessed. If the users are connecting to the Citrix environment to access SAP then the GUI should updated there. If the SAP is accessed locally from then the GUI should be updated on the local system.

Hello Reagan,
I need to confirm if all the users are connecting through citrix or few are locally connected.
Meanwhile, can you please confirm me, if the SAP GUI is updated on citrix server from 7.2 to 7.3 then is it possible that it will be pushed the updated version to the end users connected. Or do we need to manually update it there as well?
Regards,
Mohit
I think, when it's citrix, only the update is needed on citrix front end servers.
